Srinagar, July 17: President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Aga Syed Hassan Moosavi Al-Safvi, on Friday highlighted the spiritual significance of the 2nd of Safar, paying rich tributes to Hazrat Abbas (A.S.) for his unparalleled loyalty, sacrifice and unwavering devotion to Imam Hussain (A.S.) during the tragedy of Karbala.
Addressing a religious gathering, Aga Syed Hassan said Hazrat Abbas (A.S.) remains an eternal symbol of courage, faithfulness and selfless service to truth and justice. He said his life continues to inspire millions of people across the world to remain steadfast in the face of oppression and adversity.
Recalling the sacrifices made in Karbala, he said the legacy of Hazrat Abbas (A.S.) teaches humanity the values of loyalty, integrity, patience and unwavering commitment to righteous principles.
He urged the youth to draw inspiration from the teachings of Ahlulbayt (A.S.) and to uphold the ideals of honesty, compassion, discipline and moral responsibility in their daily lives.
"The younger generation should strengthen its bond with the teachings of Ahlulbayt (A.S.), as these timeless values provide guidance towards building a just, peaceful and morally upright society," he said.
Aga Syed Hassan also stressed the importance of preserving Islamic values, promoting unity, and following the path of sacrifice and service demonstrated by the martyrs of Karbala.
He called upon the faithful to commemorate the sacred days of Muharram and Safar with devotion, reflection and adherence to the principles of truth, justice and humanity exemplified by Imam Hussain (A.S.) and Hazrat Abbas (A.S.).
The gathering concluded with special prayers for peace, communal harmony and the well-being of the people, while devotees reaffirmed their commitment to the teachings and legacy of Ahlulbayt (A.S.).
