Jammu, Feb 23: Security forces have neutralised a seven-member Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist module, dubbed the “Israel Group,” after an 18-month operation in Kishtwar district.
Three members, including top commander Saifullah, were killed in an encounter on February 22. The module had infiltrated India in April 2024 and was involved in 17 engagements over 18 months. Acting on intelligence from police and the Intelligence Bureau, the operation, codenamed Trashi-I, used drones, night-vision equipment, and rapid reinforcement to neutralise the terrorists without casualties among security forces.
Inspector General of Police Bhim Sen Tuti confirmed that only three local terrorists remain in Kishtwar. He warned that collaborators would face decisive action, and the campaign against terror will continue.
