Imphal, Feb 19: The Khuga Battalion of the Assam Rifles has marked a significant achievement in its ongoing efforts toward youth empowerment and nation-building. On 17 February 2026, it was announced that 31 candidates from Churachandpur and adjoining areas of Manipur successfully cleared the written examination for enrolment into the Territorial Army.

The accomplishment reflects the sustained guidance, mentoring, and structured training support provided by the Khuga Battalion to local aspirants preparing for recruitment into the Armed Forces. Through dedicated coaching sessions, physical training modules, and motivational interactions, the battalion has been actively assisting youth in navigating the rigorous selection process.
The 31 successful candidates are now scheduled to appear for the aptitude test on 20 February 2026, the next crucial stage in the Territorial Army recruitment process.
