Doda, Nov 2: A light earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale struck an area around 36 km from Doda in Jammu and Kashmir late Monday night, November 2, 2026.

According to available information, the tremor occurred at 10:56 pm local time at a shallow depth of approximately five kilometres, making it perceptible to some people living near the epicentre.
The shallow depth meant the tremor could be felt in nearby areas despite its relatively low magnitude.
