Srinagar, Sep 20: As many as 2,800 children participated in a grand Seerah competition organised at the historic Jama Masjid in Srinagar, turning the religious gathering into a major platform for learning, reflection and engagement among young participants.

The competition focused on the life, teachings and character of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), encouraging children to deepen their understanding of Seerah while developing an interest in reading, learning and moral values.
The large participation reflected the growing interest among children in educational and faith-based programmes that combine knowledge with meaningful engagement. Parents and guardians also accompanied the participants, contributing to the lively and disciplined atmosphere surrounding the event.
Organisers said the initiative was aimed at creating a constructive environment where children could learn about the Prophet’s life and teachings in an accessible and engaging manner. Such programmes, they said, can help nurture values such as compassion, honesty, discipline, respect and service to society.
The historic Jama Masjid, one of Kashmir’s prominent religious and cultural landmarks, provided the setting for the event, drawing children from different areas of Srinagar and adjoining localities.
