2 killed, seven injured in Ramban accident

Jammu, Oct 8: Two persons were killed and seven others suffered injuries when a taxi they were travelling in met with an accident in Ramban district on Thursday
Police said that a Sumo vehicle met with an accident on the Senabati-Chounthan Road, resulting in injuries to nine persons.
The injured were shifted to Primary Health Centre Ukhral treatment and later were referred to the District Hospital Ramban for further treatment.
Two persons succumbed during the treatment at Ukhral and Jammu GMC, they said.
Two of the critically injured have been referred to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed grief over the tragic road accident in Ramban today.
In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor said, "Deeply anguished by the unfortunate road accident in Ukhral, Ramban. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families, prayers for speedy recovery of the injured. I have directed the district administration to provide best possible treatment to the injured."
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has also expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident.
