Bishnupur, June 18: Demonstrating swift response and commitment to community welfare, an Indian Army medical team stationed at Bishnupur provided life-saving emergency assistance to a 63-year-old civilian who was bitten by a snake while working in a field.

According to officials, the incident occurred when the elderly man was engaged in agricultural work and was suddenly bitten by a snake, causing panic and rapid deterioration in his condition. Locals immediately alerted nearby security personnel.
An Army medical team reached the spot without delay and administered first aid and emergency stabilisation treatment on-site. Recognising the seriousness of the condition, the team coordinated a rapid evacuation to ensure the patient received advanced care at the District Hospital, Bishnupur.
Officials said the timely medical intervention, combined with efficient coordination between field personnel and hospital authorities, played a crucial role in stabilising the patient and preventing further complications.
The victim was safely admitted to the hospital for further treatment and observation. Medical officials confirmed that early response was key in managing the case effectively.
