
A leopard was captured alive by Wildlife Department employees in Kadapora village in Achabal in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Thursday evening.
Reports said that the Wildlife Department was informed by the locals of Kadapora after a leopard was sighted roaming in the area.
The Department concerned reached the area with men and machinery and soon after launched a rescue operation to trap the beast.
The beast was later on successfully captured by the rescue team.
Confirming it, an official said that the rescue operation was launched on the directions of Wildlife Warden South Division Bijbehara, Range officer Bringi Valley, Range Achabal.
