Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested two militant associates along with arms and ammunition in Imamsahib area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A senior police officer said that a joint team of Police and 34 RR army during cordon and search operation arrested two hard core Over Ground Workers.
From their possession one pistol, two grenades, and eight rounds of pistol were recovered, he said.
They arrested persons have been identified as Zaffar Azad Ganie son of Mohd Azad Ganie and Amir Ahmad son of Zahoor Ahmad Mir both residents of Motjan Shopian, the officer added.
