During the Beating Retreat ceremony Hon'ble Lt Governor J&K Shri Manoj Sinha awarded Jammu and Kashmir Police Bands and Jammu Kashmir Police Public School, Jammu contingents and their band for securing top positions during the 74th Republic Day Parade at M A Stadium.
The Director General of Police J&K, Shri Dilbag Singh and Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA) Dr Rubinder Kaur have congratulated the winners for bringing laurels to the Police Pariwar and hoped that the awards will boost the morale of JK personnel and students of JKPPS further.
Pertinent to mention that on the eve of 74th Republic Day Parade Jammu & Kashmir Police’s Pipe Band and Brass Band has secured first and second positions respectively and in schools contingent categories JKPPS Band and Girls contingents have secured first position while Boys contingent of the school secured second position.
Similarly in Srinagar Republic Day parade Jammu and Kashmir Police Pipe Band stood 1st while Boys contingent of JKPPS, Bemina Srinagar secured 3rd position in their respective categories. They were awarded on the same day by the Hon'ble Advisor to Lt Governor J&K Shri R R Bhatnagar.
