September 29, 2023 | BK News Service

The J&K Khidmat Center Association staged a protest at the Press Enclave Srinagar demanding a permanent job policy in J&K Bank.
Scores of protesters from various districts of Kashmir assembled at the Press Enclave and chanted slogans such as "We want justice" and "Frame permanent job policy for us."
The protesters said that they have been working for J&K Bank for over 14 years, but they have not been given permanent jobs. They said that they have been promised permanent jobs on several occasions, but the promises have never been fulfilled.
"We have given 14 important years of our life to these centers providing all possible services to the people, most of us are over aged now, J&K Bank has to take some concrete measures accommodating us," said one of the protesters.
The protesters also appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to intervene in resolving their issues.
The protest comes at a time when the J&K Bank is facing a number of challenges, including financial losses and bad loans. The bank has recently taken a number of steps to improve its financial performance, including reducing costs and increasing revenue.
