The Lakes Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA) organised the cleanliness drive and a rally around the peripheries of Dal Lake.

There was an involvement of 140 students from Crescent PublicSchool Srinagar as part of Swachh Bharat Mission week being celebrated from September 26 to October 2.
Principal of the school, Farhat Makhdoomi and Project Officer LCMA, Gazalla Abdullah was also present in the said programme.
The rally was held from Botanical Garden to STP Laam during which slogans by students regarding the saving of water and maintaining cleanliness were emphasized.
People living around the vicinity were made aware by the students regarding the importance of cleanliness and desisting from throwing waste without proper disposal.
