Army organises road safety awareness camp in Boniyar

In pursuance to its efforts to educate the locals of Boniyar regarding the benefits of safe driving as well as to provide a platform for obtaining Driving License Phase 2 of Road Safety Awareness Camp was conducted in Boniyar.

Army said that in coordination with local administration, Police and ARTO Mubashir Jan Baramulla a driving safety workshop was organised at Children Park Boniyar.
Army said that classes on vehicle maintenance, handling of tool kits and correct documentation were conducted by the Battalion Team along with ARTO.
“In first of its kind live on road Test was organised for locals at Boniyar wherein 12 person out of 14 were selected for issue of Liscence by ARTO,” army said.
Army said that total 70 locals attended the event.
“Volunteers locals also spread road safety awareness by distributing Pamphlets, Stickers and Helmets. The event has seen volunteer participation form youth and students who have joined the Battalion in making Roads of Boniyar safer for all. The event gained immense traction and locals specially the Elders of Boniyar expressed their gratitude towards Army for the Road safety drive,” army said.
